UAV Navigation has participated as exhibitor in the Expo Seguridad Mexico 2010 edition (Mexico DF). After the good results obtained in Chile, UAV Navigation confirms its position in the South American market attending the Mexico's premier security event, also with excellent results.

Red Bull Air Race starts its 2010 season in Abu Dhabi.
As in the past 3 years, Red Bull has counted with UAV Navigation to supply the EFIS and the telemetry equipment to monitorize the race.
This year, we introduced synthetic voice, an essential product for the safety of the pilots.
The race director can send them voice messages and also, when they are near the maximum airspeed, the synthetic voice advises them with their actual speed.

UAV Navigation has participated as exhibitor in the UNVEX 2010 edition (Madrid).
The first edition of UNVEX, the spanish Unmanned Vehicle Systems meeting point has been a complete success. UAV Navigation's AP04OEM2 has made its public debut and has caused a very good impression.

UAV Navigation releases the AP04OEM2 autopilot.
With its only 20g it is the lightest autopilot in the world and is 100% compatible with the AP04 autopilot family.
This product will satisfy the harder requirements of the market regarding size, weight, power consumption and funciontality.

Once again the Red Bull Air Race organization has trusted UAV Navigation to handle the telemetry of the Red Bull Air Race. The use of UAV Navigations EFIS (Electronic Flight Instrument System) installed on all the planes has resulted in excellent telemetry data, assisting both pilots and judges.
Barcelona was the city chosen to conclude the Red Bull Air Race season. A thrilling duel between Paul Bonhomme and Hannes Arch brought to an end the season with the title going to the British pilot Paul Bonhomme.

With the help of two UAVs equipped with dual sensor (TV + IR) cameras, a leading company in the global energy sector plans to automate the detection of problems in their electrical distribution lines in Spain.
UAV Navigation will supply the AP04 autopilot for the control of all of Alpha Unmanned Systems UAV’s (the company that will provide the helicopters).
Alpha Unmanned Systems will supply two units of the Sniper II. With its 2.5 meters of rotor diameter, it has an endurance of almost 3 hours with a payload of up to 10 kg.
While finalizing the set up of the Sniper II, tests have already begun, carrying out video inspections with its younger brother, the Sniper. It has flown automatically with the two types of camera over a stretch of power line with a superb picture quality.

Leading European company in the manufacture of targets has delivered the first 10 units at the base of El Arenosillo. These units are controlled by UAV Navigation’s AP04 autopilot.
At the official handover, the planes took off perfectly with a strong crosswind and made a test distance of 50 km offshore with solid data link at all times.

Largest RedBull Air Race season finished in Perth, Australia. By means of a modified AP04 used for telemetry application, the RedBull Air Race now has real time telemetry data to generate TV overlay information, facilitate jury tasks, and 3D race analysis. This has been a great challenge for UAV Navigation, but has allowed us to develop the best MEMS based AHRS in its class, capable of correctly calculating aircraft attitude in 270Kt, 10G+ aerobatics.

Largest Leading companies in the defence sector such as IAI, EADS, Indra, met in Madrid during an Unmanned Aircraft Systems Conference. UAV Navigation received special mention as most of the star projects presented were based on UAV Navigation technologies. The star project included:

•  Hybrid helicopter-fixed wing aircraft project carried out by the main Spanish Aeronautical Investigation Laboratory.

•  Design of Certifiable Adaptive Flight Control System Project by Leading Spanish Company in the Embedded Aerospace Sector.

•  Different UAV's presented by main present manufacturers.

Largest defence contractor in Argentina chooses UAV NAVIGATION avionics to pilot their manned and unmanned aircraft. During November UAV Navigation team will travel to Argentina to adapt and demonstrate their products to this major new client.

The new office is situated just a short distance from the previous location, and represents a significant improvement from our last facilities. Just a 10 minute drive from the airport and centre of Madrid , and a very short distance from the airfield we use for trials, the new location is ideally suited to our current needs. The major increase in space and comfort will accommodate our continued growth and witness our continuous improvements and developments.

UAV Navigation participated as exhibitor in the AUVSI Pavilion at the Paris Air Show. Our participation was a great success; we would like to thank all that made it possible. Customers and interested parties were able to discuss the possibilities of our range of products. We obtained many new and very interesting contacts, and once again experienced the interest and enthusiasm roused by our product.

UAV Navigation performs successful demonstration of use of UAV helicopter to Spanish law enforcement. The system demonstrated included a commercial gasoline powered HC platform equipped with gyro-stabilized video camera and AP04 autopilot, controlled on the ground via UAV Navigation's GCS. Authorities outlined the advantage of such an easy to use tool in the daily operations of their groups.

Madrid's leading public technical university has chosen UAV Navigation's AP04 autopilot for helicopter control in their development of a vision based guidance system for precision manoeuvres.

General Aviation/LSA aircraft manufacturer successfully performs maiden flight test on aircraft fully instrumented with UAV Navigation's avionics. UAV Navigation's AP04M fulfilling the roles of AHRS and ADC, and EM02 for engine data acquisition system, were interfaced to OP Technologies' 8,4" dual EFIS.

Spanish national aerospace institute chooses UAV Navigation to provide flight control capabilities to recently unveiled UAV adaptative aircraft. UAV Navigation will provide technology to fully control all the stages of the flight in automatic mode.
