UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía is a high-quality developer and manufacturer of professional-grade autopilots. As part of Grupo Oesía, UAV Navigation has two manufacturing facilities that allow the company to provide products that follow the most demanding aviation standards.


Centers of Excellence for High-Quality Production

Situated in Madrid, UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía operates its own cutting-edge laboratory where our engineers design, conceive, and manufacture our products, ensuring their dependability and alignment with client expectations.

Furthermore, UAV Navigation-Grupo Oesía benefits from manufacturing support within the Grupo Oesía production chain through the Technological Innovation Center located in Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real), where Tecnobit-Grupo Oesía designs integrated electronic solutions tailored to space, airborne, terrestrial, and maritime platforms. These encompass a wide spectrum of domains, including optronics, displays, IRST, encrypted communications, secure and tactical communication systems, as well as satellite communications. This facility plays a key role in crafting holistic resolutions for significant national and European defense initiatives, notably encompassing projects such as NGWS/FCAS, Eurodrone, the F110 frigate, and the onboard national encryption system, among other notable endeavors.


Meticulous manufacturing process to provide aerospace-quality products

Within our Production Department, a team of specialists assembles the various components of our autopilots and administers comprehensive tests to validate the quality of each product. Both manufacturing facilities are outfitted with state-of-the-art calibration and measurement instruments, complete with calibration certificates issued by accredited external bodies. These measures are in place to ensure the impeccable functioning of our instruments within the specified ranges.

Our well-equipped laboratory encompasses all the essential apparatus for the manufacturing, calibration, and validation processes. This includes aerospace-grade temperature chambers capable of encompassing the declared operational range of systems, a 'tri-axis moving platform' dedicated to IMU calibration, and advanced air data test units. These tools are pivotal in confirming the exceptional capabilities of our Air Data System, among other functions.

Our specialists rigorously test each unit through a temperature chamber to execute a precise system-level calibration. This process is essential for accurate performance as temperature influences each calibration coefficient. Additionally, a 6-point turning table is employed for IMU calibration, meticulously investigating each unit to identify potential sensor misalignment, soldering irregularities, or assembly concerns.

After these procedures, all products departing from the facility undergo rigorous Quality Control evaluations. Each product is subjected to an individualized Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP), wherein its operational integrity is verified before being bestowed with a Certificate of Conformity (CoC).

These exhaustive evaluations confirm our commitment to furnishing aerospace-grade products according to the specifications outlined in our datasheets. Naturally, any units failing to meet our stringent quality benchmarks are either refurbished or excluded from the manufacturing process, ensuring that the products delivered from our facilities are in the best condition to provide a safe flight to our customers’ UAV platforms.
