Precision net landing on a vessel underway at sea using an RTK solution
UAV Navigation works at the cutting edge of unmanned technology, with an ethos of continuous improvement.
The latest example of this is a project to use a precision Real-Time Kinematics (RTK - accuracy better than 2cm) solution in order to provide a maritime surveillance UAV with the capacity to take off and land completely automatically on a ship underway at sea. This challenging technological project has been delivered on time and within budget for a major Tier1 systems integrator, the system is now rolling out to customers worldwide. The UAV is catapult launched and recovered in a special net which is deployed onboard the vessel. The system is equally capable of working from a static catapult and net deployment on land.
If you have a fixed wing or helicopter UAV wich requires a precision landing capability, be it onboard a moving ship or perhaps a fixed wing runway where there is no margin for error, then we have the solution you are looking for. Please feel free to contact us to set up a meeting to discuss.
