UAV Navigation understands that every project and platform is unique and so we treat every one accordingly. When designing a custom control system, we make a special effort to address any specific requirements that the client may have, whilst sharing the benefit of our experience and industry knowledge. The project is treated as a partnership, with the long term goal in mind.

Since starting out in 2004, UAV Navigation has worked on a variety of complex UAV and Optionally Piloted Vehicle (OPV) projects, accumulating considerable experience and establishing an enviable reputation. Our various specialist engineering teams bring hardware, software and flight control knowledge to the custom control system development process.

UAV Navigation has established a solid track record for manufacturing autopilots and other hardware devices for the UAV sector, together with specialist software developments such as custom control systems, algorithms and control logic. Some examples of special projects undertaken include:

  • Flight control solution for a manned aircraft (over one tonne MTOW) which was converted into a fully autonomous OPV.
  • Flight control solution for the conversion of a manned, 5-seat turbine helicopter into an OPV.
  • Flight control solution and fly by wire stabilization for the Martin Aircraft 'Jetpack'.

UAV Navigation is a privately-owned company that has specialized in the design of flight control solutions for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) since 2004. It is used by a variety of Tier 1 aerospace manufacturers in a wide range of UAV - also known as Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) or 'drones'. These include high-performance tactical unmanned planes, aerial targets, mini-UAVs and helicopters.
